Japanese Scientists Killed SwineFlu A(H1N1) Virus
Since the WHO declared a world swine flu pandemic, governments and health authorities around the world put in place contingency plans to detect, protect and prevent the spread of the A(H1N1) virus.
The death toll continues to rise with the first locally transmitted case detected in Malaysia. Apparently the 17 year old girl had exposed 20 other people to the flu virus before she sought treatment at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC).
However, the point of this article is not to add on to your fear and anxiety over this pandemic. Several weeks ago, we posted an article on how OLIVENOL livin’ is able to increase the total glutathione status of our body and suggested that hydroxytyrosol (HT) the active ingredient is able to boost immunity to fight off influenza infection.
Well, it appears that a team of Japanese scientists have discovered the mechanism of the antiviral effect HT has on influenza virus INCLUDING the dreaded A(H1N1). I have clipped the abstract of their research below:
Mechanism of the antiviral effect of hydroxytyrosol on influenza virus appears to involve morphological change of the virus.

Hydroxytyrosol (HT), a small-molecule phenolic compound, inactivated influenza A viruses including H1N1, H3N2, H5N1, and H9N2 subtypes. HT also inactivated Newcastle disease virus but not bovine rotavirus, and fowl adenovirus, suggesting that the mechanism of the antiviral effect of HT might require the presence of a viral envelope. Pretreatment of MDCK cells with HT did not affect the propagation of H9N2 virus subsequently inoculated onto the cells, implying that HT targets the virus but not the host cell. H9N2 virus inactivated with HT retained unaltered hemagglutinating activity and bound to MDCK cells in a manner similar to untreated virus. Neuraminidase activity in the HT-treated virus also remained unchanged. However, in the cells inoculated with HT-inactivated H9N2 virus, neither viral mRNA nor viral protein was detected. Electron microscopic analysis revealed morphological abnormalities in the HT-treated H9N2 virus. Most structures found in the HT-treated virus were atypical of influenza virions, and localization of hemagglutinin was not necessarily confined on the virion surface. These observations suggest that the structure of H9N2 virus could be disrupted by HT.
This article will be published in the July issue of ”Antiviral Research. 2009 Jul;83(1):35-44”
This is certainly encouraging development and is a huge step towards finding a solution to the swine flu pandemic. The discovery helps support the points we attempted to convey in this earlier article about preventing swine flu from the inside.
If you are interested to protect your loved ones (particularly the vulnerable group – baby, old folks and those with weak immunity), start by taking the ONLY source of hydroxytyrosol (HT) that is ready for consumption. HT is the most potent antioxidant with an ORAC measure of 27,000 umol TE/g – the HIGHEST level recorded. No other natural compound has ORAC higher than HT
Hydroxytyrosol can only be extracted from olives. OLIVENOL livin’ is a patented multi-action olive juice extract that is 300 times more potent than the best extra virgin olive oil.
We will continue to monitor development on swine flu and further developments on HT ability to kill the A-type influenza virus. Hello Kenzy, to benefit from the immune system booting properties of hydroxytyrosol, we recommend you take 2 capsules per day in the morning for a full day protection. Take care and stay healthy.

Could you please email me the report pertaining to this issue as well?
Can your good product Olivenol Begin be consumed by a 12months’ toddler? If yes, how can it be consumed? Can it be added on porridge or Promil Gold milk? Effective to boost baby’s immunity to prevent Swine flu?
Also, if I need to consume this Olivenol Begin but find hard to cope with the bitter taste, can it be mixed with green apples+bitter guard juice?
hope to hear from you soon! thanks

Now, to answer your questions:
1) Yes, it is perfectly safe for your 12 month old to take OLIVENOL livin. The easiest method to feed is as you suggest, drop 1ml and mix it with the child’s favourite drink – juice, milk, porridge etc.
2) As immune booster, it has help other children avoid HFM viral infection. It also accelerate recovery from Dengue Fever (another viral infection). http://www.olivenol-livin.com.my/true-stories/pharmacists/
3) For yourself, you may mix it with any drink of your choice (we suspect bitter gourd juice may be more bitter than OLIVENOL livin BEGIN). Another alternative is to take the Capsule. (1ml = 1 capsule). Take 2 a day as maintenance dosage.
If you other questions, feel free to email us.

My 3 yr old has eczema particularly severe on her feet. The open wound has been there for almost 2yrs now. I started her on Olivenol since the end of July(1ml – 2x) a day but didnt see any improvement. I’ve increased the dosage to 2ml-2x a day but she is still scratching her feet but lesser on her body. How long more does she have to take olivenol before I can see results?
