Fight Inflammation with OLIVENOL livin’ – Chiou Ying’s Story
Here’s an exciting experience with OLIVENOL livin’ shared by Chiou Ying on our Facebook page:
This is one of the thousands successful stories of OLIVENOL livin’ in reducing inflammation. Studies have proven the amazing anti-inflammatory effect of hydroxytyrosol, the active ingredient in OLIVENOL livin’.
Hydroxytyrosol reduces inflammation by inhibiting the expression of a series of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as iNOS, NKT, TNF-a, etc. Besides, in a randomized controlled trial, hydroxytyrosol relieved pain, reduced inflammation and improved physical function in OA and RA patients within the first 8 weeks.
Besides reducing inflammation in arthritis and dermatitis, Chiou Ying’s experience indicated efficacy of OLIVENOL livin’ in reducing other types of inflammation. We are looking forward to see more people benefiting from OLIVENOL livin’ in other therapeutic areas.
Olive Polyphenol Antioxidants
As science progresses, experimental data to support the role of antioxidants in maintaining health becomes even more compelling. It is now clear that the functional integrity of numerous tissue and body systems in humans and animals depend upon scavenging and eliminating excess free radicals. A large body of published scientific research confirms the tremendous antioxidant activity of olive polyphenols, especially Hydroxytyrosol (HT). In the context of a healthy diet and lifestyle, the potential benefits of olive polyphenols include:
Joint Health and Mobility
Numerous types of evidence, including epidemiological studies and clinical trials, demonstrate the importance of a healthy diet for maintenance of joint health. In particular, the Mediterranean diet is associated with maintenance of joint mobility, and the sustained vitality associated with ease of motion. Olive oil is one of several dietary factors associated with joint health. Controlled clinical trials gave demonstrated that olive oil can significantly contribute to joint mobility and quality of life. Animal studies strongly suggest that the polyphenols in olive oil, not the oil itself, are the essential components responsible for joint health.
Cardiovascular Health
The Mediterranean diet is associated with heart health. Laboratory studies suggest that some of the benefits of this diet on the structure and function of the cardiovascular system are due to polyphenol antioxidants, including Hydroxytyrosol. One such study looked at the need to minimize oxidation of LDL (bad) cholesterol to maintain healthy heart function. In the laboratory study Hydroxytyrosol was found to have a positive effect, indicating a potential cardiovascular protective benefit.
Skin Health
Skin needs antioxidants to remain healthy, especially during sun exposure. Compared to traditional antioxidants used by the cosmetic industry, such as tocopherols from vitamin E, olive polyphenols have much higher antioxidant activity. In one controlled animal study, OLIVENOL was demonstrated to maintain skin health in a normal healthy state, even after exposure to UV radiation.
Colon and Breast Wellness
Antioxidants can help to maintain proper cell cycling that is essential for health. In once recent controlled study, olive polyphenol Hydroxytyrosol was shown to have a potent effect on healthy cell cycling in colon and breast tissue.
Anti-Microbial
In one laboratory study, olive polyphenols inhibited or delayed the growth rate of bacteria such as salmonella and staphylococcus, as well as viruses such as influenza, indicating a potential application for maintaining food freshness.
Treating Psoriasis on Your Scalp
If you suffer from psoriasis, I’m sure you would completely agree with me when I say that psoriasis stinks! The red dry skin, itching, and flaking are not pleasant to deal with on a daily basis, especially if the psoriasis is in a visible part of your body like your scalp. Luckily, there are a few types of scalp psoriasis treatment available. There are also a few types of all natural scalp psoriasis treatment available. On this page, we will discuss some alternatives so you can choose a good scalp psoriasis treatment. First, though, it is important that you know exactly what psoriasis is and what causes it.
So what is psoriasis?
Psoriasis is an unceasing skin condition in which patches of skin anywhere on your body become red, flaky, scaly, and itchy. Between 1% and 3% of people in the world suffer from psoriasis. The most common type of psoriasis is called chronic plaque psoriasis.
The normal skin cell life cycle is about 30 days, whereas in a person who has a psoriasis, the skin cell life cycle is only 3 to 6 days! This is because the T-cells (a type of white blood cell, integral part of the immune system) attack the skin cells, causing them to develop at a much faster rate. This excess skin has nowhere to go but to the surface, resulting in the scaly rash-like appearance on the skin.
So what is a good scalp psoriasis treatment?
Gels, lotions, and other solutions are good to use a scalp psoriasis treatment, since they are easier to apply to affected areas than ointments and creams. Ointments and creams tend to leave an oily appearance to and are harder to wash out of the hair too, so try to stay away from them.
Doctors will often prescribe a steroid based gel as a scalp psoriasis treatment. These work well; however, the effect of steroids on the skin tends to wear off through excessive use, so you should stay away from steroids as well.
Doctors may also prescribe some sort of pills or injections as a scalp psoriasis treatment, but if you have ever tried these, you would know that they are not cheap, they do not work 100% of the time, and they often have negative side-effects. But give them a try, as they may work for you.
Treating your scalp psoriasis with hydroxytyrosol – an olive polyphenol.
Recent discovery suggested that there is another way to treat scalp psoriasis. It does not involve the use of any gel, ointment or cream on the scalp. Instead, it address the problem from your internal system. By sticking to a regular supplementation of hydroxytyrosol – a natural polyphenol from olive – dramatic improvements can be seen. See picture below:
By reading this article, you should now have a good understanding of what scalp psoriasis is and how you can treat it with conventional therapy. You are also introduced to the effective results a new alternative treatment with hydroxytyrosol found in OLIVENOL livin’.

Did Japanese Scientists Really Kill A(H1N1) Virus?
WOW!!!
We underestimated the interest level of our readers in the detailed scientific content of our postings. Our pageviews spiked following this article we posted 4 days ago.
We received emails from doctors, pharmacists and the general public asking for verification (and source) that the reported research quoted in our posting was true and not a hoax. Did the Japanese scientists really kill the A(H1N1) virus with hydroxytyrosol (HT)?
The best way we can clear this, is to provide you a download link of the paper we referred to HERE.
We have a scientific team in our company actively monitors all ongoing research around the world on Hydroxytyrosol (HT), the active ingredient in OLIVENOL livin’. Our fascination with HT goes beyond just a commercial interest. In fact, we are more motivated to discover and document the extent of therapeutic effect this “miracle” molecule God has given us through the olive fruit.
To date, there are well established scientific, medical and clinical evidence that HT plays a positive role in:
- cardiovascular system – inhibits LDL oxidation, prevent and reverse arthereosclerosis
- controlling arthritic indications – anti-inflammatory, cartilage regeneration, improve mobility, pain relief
- skin health – controlling psoriasis indications, clearing eczema and acne, improve moisture retention for healthy skin
- modulate immune system – reduce allergic effect, anti viral infection, quicker recovery from illness, control autoimmune induced indications
- anti aging – increase total glutathione status in body
- anti-cancer effect – induce cell apoptosis
Please read the related articles to link to back to the relevant research and publications on the multi effect of HT. We will continue to add to this knowledge base on OLIVES – one of nature’s best kept secret.
Eczema – Soothing A Mother’s Heartbreak
(An abridged version of this article appeared in the Star Special, Parenting, pg 10 on July 23, 2009 under the title “Combating Eczema Naturally with Olive Juice”)
We received this letter from Michelle, sharing a very personal story…
“My four year old son has very serious eczema around his neck area. I first noticed it when he was about six months old. Initially, I discounted it as just “one of those things” (like nappy rash) that all babies would have. He grew out of his nappy rash by the time we celebrated his first birthday.
At about the same time, the rashes on his neck became more serious. I applied prescription steroid cream on him to stop it from spreading and to lessen the itchiness. This was a repeated cycle for the last three years. After each round of relief, it is followed by another episode of more nasty flare. At one point, almost 80% of the visible neck area of my son had wet, itchy and painful flaring rash.
The most heartbreaking thing I had to endure was my husband’s decision to tie up my boy’s hands at night to stop him from scratching himself. There is no word to describe the agony of this helpless mother and powerless wife.
I am glad those days are now over. A family friend who happened to be a doctor recommended us to try OLIVENOL, an organic olive juice extract. I am grateful he did.
The improvements were visible after the first week. His rashes became less red and were no longer oozing wet. After two months, there were still some eczema patch on his neck but he is no longer troubled by the itch. When the scratching stopped, the healing process accelerated.
I am glad we found a solution that worked for my son. Thank you.”
Michelle, 30, Kulai.
Michelle’s story although often untold, is an experience that is not unique. If you ask any parent group with young children, the majority of them will tell you their children suffer from ezcema, “skin allergy” or some symptoms of dermatitis. Continue reading Eczema – Soothing A Mother’s Heartbreak

The Heartbreak of Psoriasis – Does Nature Have An Answer?

The Heartbreak of Psoriasis
Psoriasis is probably one of the longest known illnesses of humans and simultaneously one of the most misunderstood. It is a chronic, non-contagious autoimmune disease which affects the skin and joints. It commonly causes red scaly patches to appear on the skin. The scaly patches caused by psoriasis, called psoriatic plaques, are areas of inflammation and excessive skin production.
Psoriasis is a lifelong condition. There is currently no cure but various treatments can help to control the symptoms. Many of the most effective agents used to treat severe psoriasis carry an increased risk of significant morbidity including skin cancers, lymphoma and liver disease.
However, the majority of people’s experience of psoriasis is that of minor localized patches, particularly on the elbows and knees, which can be treated with topical medication. Psoriasis can get worse over time but it is not possible to predict who will go on to develop extensive psoriasis or those in whom the disease may appear to vanish. Individuals will often experience flares and remissions throughout their lives. Controlling the signs and symptoms typically requires lifelong therapy.
The cause of psoriasis is not fully understood. There are two main hypotheses. The first considers psoriasis as primarily a disorder of excessive growth and reproduction of skin cells. The problem is simply seen as a fault of the epidermis and its keratinocytes (skin stem cells).
